Moth and Flame is seeking to add an experienced 3D modeler/artist to our team on a contract basis. The focus of the work will be hard-surface models for airframes and other vehicles for use in VR training. The ideal candidate is capable of building technical models from various forms of reference, e.g. drawings, photos or scans. We are looking for a team player who has the know-how to function independently on their own aspects of a project. The following demonstrated skills will be prioritized:
- Low-poly/high-poly creation of complex models
- Proper unwrapping and UV optimization
- Creation of detailed and seamless materials in Substance Painter
- Delivery of game assets through Maya to Unity pipeline
We are looking for standout portfolios that include several pieces relevant to the aforementioned work. The ideal candidate’s portfolio will present a balance of aesthetics and efficiency.
Four+ years of on-the-job experience in game dev or similar environment preferred. Experience with Git or similar version control system preferred as well.
