The Customer Success Manager is responsible for two critical pillars within the Civilian TASER division: (1) Dealer engagement, enablement, and sales performance, and (2) Product advocacy with constituent groups.
First, the Customer Success Manager is accountable for the performance of 5,000+ Civilian TASER dealers, which range in size from single stores to regional franchises. An effective manager deeply understands (1) the needs and behaviors of Dealers, (2) the target customer segments, (3) the Civilian TASER product portfolio, and connects the dots between them so that Dealers can confidently and completely address customer needs. You will join forces with the Distributor Sales Manager and the Marketing team to develop solutions and programs for Dealers.
Second, the Customer Success Manager leads the Axon Civilian presence at major events for the self-defense industry and key conferences for target customers. These events and conferences serve as an important platform to educate and advocate for our products and to get audience feedback to develop the next generation of Civilian products.
What You’ll Do
Location: Remotely from USwith 25% to 50% Travel
Reports to: General Manager of Axon Civilian.

- Be the subject matter expert for Dealers (know the business model, how they draw and serve customers)
- Be the subject matter expert for industry events and target-customer conferences. This includes getting trained on the safe use of TASER products and confidently demonstrating them at events.
- Be a thought leader on how the Civilian TASER portfolio can succeed with Dealers, study best practices throughout the industry, take inspiration from other sectors, and make recommendations to the leadership team
- Provide at-scale Dealer product education and sales training in the form of recorded content, video conferences, print, audio, etc.
- Build Dealer sales and promotional programs and provide resources to drive end-customer sales. These would take the form of physical assets for their store fronts (displays, signs, etc.), digital assets for their online stores (images, video, product details)
- Join forces with cross-functional internal teams, including Distributor Sales, Marketing, Events, and use their capabilities and expertise to advance the business priorities of Civilian TASER
- Work closely with external partners, including display and event agencies to produce solutions
- Travel 25% to 50% of the time
What You Bring
- 8+ years experience in a customer-facing role
- Comfort and confidence with the handling of self-defense products
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Proven track record of building and nurturing customer relationships, particularly with hardware products and services
- Self-motivation, team-orientation, and resourcefulness
- Ability to recommend a plan, anticipate and handle objections, influence stakeholders, and execute
- Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills

The Pay: Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 98,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 163,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 112,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 200,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
