As QA, we're a crucial part of user experience in not only a standalone device but also a whole system of devices and services where communication, the role of "connected", brings new solutions to public safety and leave a positive impact on the world.
Participate in planning, estimating and prioritizing processes to ensure successful execution of testing activities for all projects, you will help us continually improve the quality of our existing products.
What You’ll Do
- Test Code. Save Lives.
- Your number one priority is to find issues before customers do. You focus on end-to-end black box testing. As you rise in Seniority, you are expected to do more root cause analysis and help pinpoint where services/daemons are broken, finding related logs and ways to easily reproduce the issues.
- Test Design:
- Develop and execute detailed manual test plans and test cases for new features and enhancements.
- Participate in product design reviews to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, or potential problems.
- You work closely with engineering to review technical design, needed specs/requirements to solidify the test plan, proactively give feedback/suggestion to improve QA processes.
- Execution:You primarily focus on 2 main test cycles: regression and new features, and you define the necessary workflows tocontinuously deliver software with high confidence.
- Operational Excellence:
- You work with the engineering team to increase test coverage for end-to-end user workflows that require multiple devices, services and applications.
- Provide detailed and timely feedback to improve product quality and user experience.
- Analyze test results, identify trends in software defects, and recommend solutions to improve processes and product quality.
What You Bring
- 4-7 years of professional software testing experience managing complex features.
- Solid understanding of software QA methodologies, tools and processes
- Experience working with CI CD tools(Jenkins/TeamCity)
- Experience working in Unix/Linux environments
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to collaborate, make questions and communicate directly with colleagues in US
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Experience in Automation testing with Selenium/playwright tools/framework is a plus
- Experience in testing on devices is a plus, ability to trace device logs
